Sketchbook Work

These are a collection of drawings and doodles I've done in numerous amount of sketchbooks. For me the sketchbook is the most important source of information for an artist, i can't seem to function without one.  The creative reflective log allows me to engage keeping ideas for possible projects whether it being a painting, drawing or animation.  I like how they can preserve time, memory, secrets and a documented journey of how your work has changed and progress through the time you work in them.  For me i like to keep my sketchbooks personal having an active dairy as a way of reflecting on how the work has changed and where my thinking is going in terms development and how i feel in terms of the work.

Black Rabbit Of Inle

This is an idea i drew for an illustration i got from reading Richard Adams 'Watership Down' from the chapter El-ahrairah and the Black Rabbit.  The piece of writing, which captivated me was when El-ahrairah finally gets the Black Rabbit to help him get rid of King Darzin and his army. "In that moment, while King Darzin and his soldiers were still jeering down the holes of the warren, confusion and terror came upon them in the falling darkness. The fields seemed full of huge rabbits with red eyes, stalking among the thistles." (1972:285)
